Membership with SJIOBA

Ordinary Membership
Former students of SJI who have studied there for at least a year are eligible for Ordinary Membership. A one-time membership fee of $50 is applicable.

Associate Membership
Old Boys now in secondary schools, centralized institutes, polytechnics and junior colleges are not eligible for Ordinary Membership. Instead, they are eligible for Associate Membership. Associate Membership may also be conferred by the Association to persons who wish to contribute to the furtherance of the objectives of the SJIOBA. A one-time membership fee of $20 is applicable.

Retiree Membership Old Boys retired from work and who do not have Ordinary Membership are eligible for Retiree Membership. A one-time membership fee of $25 is applicable.

Rights and Duties of Members
Associate Members shall be entitled to the benefits and privileges of Ordinary Members, except that they shall not be qualified to be officers of the Association or members of the Executive Committee, or to vote, or to move and second resolutions at General Meetings of members.

Full time students and/or persons under the age of 21 shall not be qualified to be officers of the Association or members of the Executive Committee.

All members must strictly observe the regulations of the Association and abide by the decisions of the Executive Committee and General Meetings. Members shall pay all dues of the Association as laid out in the Constitution.
